About Us: The Harold Hunter Foundation, based in the heart of New York City, is dedicated to transforming the lives of urban youth through the power of skateboarding. Created to honor the memory of the late skateboarder and actor Harold Hunter, our nonprofit is committed to fostering personal growth, community engagement, and educational opportunities for young individuals.
Position Overview: As the Executive Director, you will be at the helm of an organization that is shaping the future of youth development through skateboarding. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will provide strategic leadership, drive program excellence, cultivate partnerships, and ensure the financial sustainability of our foundation.
Responsibilities: ·Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the foundation's mission. ·Oversee the design, implementation, and impact of innovative skateboarding and educational programs. ·Lead fundraising efforts, forging partnerships, and securing resources to support growth. ·Manage finances responsibly, ensuring effective budget allocation. ·Mentor and lead a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative work environment. ·Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders. ·Advocate for our mission, raise awareness, and represent the foundation at public events.
Qualifications: ·Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field. ·5 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, youth development, or related field. ·Passion for youth development, skateboarding, and community engagement. ·Proven track record in fundraising and resource development. ·Strong financial acumen and budget management skills. ·Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities. ·Strategic thinker with a collaborative and visionary approach.
Compensation: ·Competitive salary: $75,000 - $85,000, based on experience. ·Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance reimbursement and paid time off.
