Relevant partnerships are essential when targeting a specific youth subculture. We partnered with notable figures in the skateboarding community to augment our understanding of youth skateboarders and their preferences.

Practices for Meaningful Collaboration:

• Collaboration with Mentors & Instructors. To better communicate with our students, we selected mentors, instructors, and guests with comparable life experiences to serve as credible and approachable role models.

• Collaboration with Institutions. We held our program at the New School/Parsons School of Design, and worked with the university’s faculty and students to expose our students to the experience of higher education in a state of the art setting.
