Skate Camp 2024 FAQ

This year, The Harold Hunter Foundation will be providing our participants with two sleep away camp experiences. 
  1. Session 1: Camp Woodward
  2. Session 2: Camp Reimagined

Camp Woodward

Aug 11 - 18
Registration Deadline: July 26, 2024

Camp Woodward is an action sports camp in Woodward Pennsylvania that provides world-class facilities and instruction to skateboarders from around the world. Our campers will have the opportunity to participate in one of the most celebrated experiences in skateboarding, building skills and community under the tutelage of our staff, Woodward staff, and professional skateboarders.

Participant Qualifications
  • 11-17 yrs old
  • Attend a minimum of 4 Skate Camp Sessions prior to August 9, 2024
  • Participants must attend the in-person Camper Orientation on August 8, 2024 at 6:00pm 
Mandatory Requirements 
  • All required paperwork signed by parent/guardian by August 22, 2024 at 6:00pm. 
  • Parent/Guardian must attend one Parent/Guardian Orientation held on either Friday August 9th at 6:00-8:00 (in-person) or Thursday August 8th at 10:00am (virtual)

Camp Reimagined

Aug 25 - 31
Registration Deadline: July 26, 2024

Camp Reimagined is an innovative 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing transformative and inclusive Camping experiences for individuals historically excluded from the Camping industry. The Harold Hunter Foundation partners with Camp Reimagined to provide a one of a kind outdoors excursion for our participants. Our campers will have the opportunity to connect with each other and the great outdoors, while honing their skate skills on our wood skatepark. 

Participant Qualifications
  • 11-18 yrs old
  • Attend a minimum of 4 Skate Camp Sessions prior to August 23, 2024
  • Participants must attend the in-person Camper Orientation on August 8, 2024 at 6:00pm 

Mandatory Requirements 
  • All required paperwork signed by parent/guardian by August 19, 2024 at 5:00pm
  • Parent/Guardian must attend one Parent/Guardian Orientation held on either Friday August 23, 2024 at 7:00pm  (in-person) / Monday August 21st at 10:00am (virtual)

How much does camp cost? 
Camp admission and roundtrip transportation is free of charge to registered participants. 

Are adults going with my child to camp? 
Yes, HHF provides chaperones to attend camp, including the Director of Community Engagement Programs that manages the Skate Camp Program and HHF Coaches and Volunteers. 


Does my child need to know how to skateboard to attend camp? 
While it is incredibly helpful if your child is already familiar with skateboarding, it is not required. 

Does my child need to have their own skateboarding gear? 
No. Any child that does not already have gear will be provided with a skateboard and safety gear so that they can fully engage in all camp activities.
