Women & LGBTQIA+ Initiative

On International Women's Day 2022, Harold Hunter Foundation (HHF) launched a formal initiative to provide support and advocacy to NYC skateboarders who identify as women and/or LGBTQIA+. Through workshops, meetups, events, and sponsorships, we hope to build bridges and cultivate community around gender diversity in skateboarding in NYC and beyond.

In addition to HHF supporting community events led by women and/or LGBTQIA+ skaters, HHF Coach and community organizer Jae Cooper will also host monthly skate meetups and community conversations for women and/or LGBTQIA+ identifying skateboarders through 2022.
