Skate Camp


The Skate Camp Program, is a transformative 6-month journey designed to provide our young people with the opportunity to explore and excel in skateboarding.

In 2024, this program consisted of weekly skate sessions and programming, culminating in two memorable weeklong sleep away camps at Camp Woodward and Camp Reimagined. It was a chance for participants to immerse themselves in skateboarding, build skills, foster new friendships, and experience the great outdoors.

Components

Weekly Skate Sessions: Participants engage in weekly skateboarding sessions led by experienced instructors, allowing them to build their skills and learn from one another.

Skill Workshops: Professional skateboarders provide hands-on skill-building workshops, teaching tricks, techniques, and safe skateboarding practices.

Sleep Away Camp: The highlight of the program is the week at Camp Reimagined in Huguenot, NY. Here, participants can immerse themselves in skateboarding, build their skills, and enjoy outdoor activities in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Objectives

Skill Development: The program focuses on improving skateboarding skills, from beginners to advanced levels, with professional guidance and mentorship.

Community Building: Participants will bond with peers who share a passion for skateboarding, creating lasting friendships and a sense of belonging.

Outdoor Adventure: The weeklong sleepaway camp offers a unique outdoor experience, providing a break from the urban environment and allowing participants to connect with nature.

Fun & Growth: This program is all about having fun, exploring one's potential, and gaining confidence through skateboarding.
