Ronald Hunter

Ron Hunter, the older brother of the late professional skateboarder and actor Harold Hunter, has long been a key figure in New York City's skate culture. While Harold gained fame for his role in the 1995 film Kids and as one of the first Black professional skateboarders from NYC, Ron made his mark as the first Black professional inline skater in the 1990s, helping shape the urban skating scene alongside his brother.
Following Harold's untimely death in 2006, Ron co-founded the Harold Hunter Foundation (HHF) in 2007, alongside friends and family members. The foundation provides support, opportunities, and advocacy for New York City's skateboarders, particularly underserved youth.
Known for his vibrant personality and artistic expression, Ron remains a respected figure in the skateboarding world, embodying the spirit of resilience and community that both he and his brother Harold championed.
